Our goal is to make the mediation process as user-friendly and stress-free as possible. Therefore, how much and how thoroughly you choose to prepare for mediation is up to you. While it is helpful to prepare some basic information before the first joint session, we understand that this simply may not be possible with all the other things you need to take care of during this transition. If you are able to come with some or all of the information below this will help us move forward more efficiently and possibly save some time and expense. However, this is also something we can talk about in the first joint session so that you can then prepare the information for discussion during the following mediation sessions. And of course, please feel free to call or  us with any questions regarding this information.
Helpful Information:
- Information on all your assets such as homes, cars, pensions, investments and insurances
- Information on all your liabilities such as mortgages, credit card debt or any other outstanding debts
- Information on your children’s schedules
- Information on the monthly income of each spouse
- Information on the current monthly expenses
* Eventually, we may need supporting documentation for much of the above information. If you use supporting documentation (such as bank, credit card or mortgage statements) to come up with your assets, debts, income and expense information you might want to simply start a file where you include copies or originals of this documentation for easy reference.
